Kelab Golf Seri Selangor (KGSS) officially launched its extensively-renovated clubhouse with an invitational golf tournament on Sunday, January 30, attended by Selangor Chief Minister Dato’ Amirudion Shari as Guest of Honour.
The renovation has totally transformed the KGSS clubhouse, originally built in 1998, into an ultra-modern facility. The revamp includes an air-conditioned registration area, refurbished changing rooms, an expanded golfer’s terrace now known as the Seri Selangor Café, and a stylish, well-stocked proshop operated by MST Golf.

Beyond the clubhouse, the renovation exercise saw the upgrading of the drink huts and buggy tracks.
The invitational tournament was sponsored by MST Golf and featured attractive prizes, including the brand-new TaylorMade Stealth driver.
Located in the suburb of Kota Damansara, KGSS is owned by the Selangor state government’s development arm, Perbaduan Kemajuan Negeri Selangor (PKNS), and is managed by SACC Convec Sdn Bhd.

Hailed as the country’s best full-fledged public golf course, the 18-hole layout is designed by Australian architect Ross Watson and is one of the most challenging layouts in the Klang Valley. The hilly course features lush, tree-lined fairways leading to speedy, well-contoured greens.
KGSS hosted the Asian Tour’s Selangor Masters on five occasions, in 2008 when Malaysia’s Ben Leong won the inaugural event, and subsequently in 2009, 2010, 2013 and 2014.
